Suhani Bhatnagar's passed away

New Delhi: Yesterday saw the death of actor Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed a teenage Babita Phogat in the wrestling drama "Dangal," starring Aamir Khan. Her family just discovered that she has Dermatomyositis, an uncommon inflammatory illness that results in paralysis in the muscles and skin rashes.

Following medical problems, the 19-year-old passed away on February 16 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he had been admitted on February 7.
The family stated that although she was only given a diagnosis of the illness ten days ago, the symptoms began to appear two months ago.

About two months ago, she started to have a red mark on her hands. According to Puja Bhatnagar, Suhani's mother, "we consulted with doctors in different hospitals, but it couldn't be diagnosed."

Her condition began to worsen, and she was admitted to AIIMS.

There was no improvement in Suhani's health, according to her father Sumit Bhatnagar, and finally her "lungs got damaged due to an infection and accumulation of excess fluid".

"She was put on the ventilator but there was no improvement," he stated.

Only five or six people worldwide, according to her father, have received a diagnosis of the illness.

A rare inflammatory illness called dermatomyositis is characterised by a characteristic skin rash and muscle weakness. It may also impact other organ systems, including the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary systems.

At the Ajronda cremation ground, Suhani Bhatnagar, a resident of Faridabad, was cremated.

She had acted in the 2016 wrestling biographical drama, which followed the career paths of his two daughters. Babita was represented by Bhatnagar, and young Geeta was played by Zaira Wasim. Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh played the adult versions of the characters. Mahavir Phogat, their father, was portrayed by Aamir Khan.
The production company of Aamir Khan also expressed sadness over her passing: "We are very sorry to learn about our Suhani's passing. We send our deepest sympathies to her mother Poojaji and the whole family. 'Dangal' wouldn't have been the same without Suhani—such a gifted young woman and an excellent team player."

Suhani had paused her acting career to finish her education.
